Afanasjev. Russian Folktales

For this bibliography page, I'll list the Russian folktales I am using from Afanasjev, along with the relevant sources. Not all of Afansjev's stories are available in English translation, although Haney has published two of three volumes, which is wonderful; it will be nice when the third volume comes out!

Of those English translations, some (like Ralston and Magnus) are in the public domain. For the stories that do not have an English translation in the public domain, I will eventually do my own translations from the Russian. It's been a long time since I used my Russian for anything, so that is exciting (I studied Russian for several years in college).

There are a lot of chain tales in Afanasjev, along with some other forms of very elegant repetitious structures. Here is what I have so far:
